In the remainder of this article, we will talk about some of the most effective ways to deal with acne of the buttocks, so stick with us and decide which method works best for you. It’s also worth mentioning that not every remedy will suit you, we’re all built differently so don’t get discouraged if the first thing you try doesn’t go very well.
Use of Local and Oral Drugs
Start Applying Lotion or Ointment After Taking a Shower
The first thing that you need to do is to look for an ointment that contains salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and last but not least, hydroxy acid. You will probably want to get a product that is specifically designed for these types of problems when it comes to skin. The first lotion that comes to our mind is “Butt Acne Clearing Lotion” from Green Heart Lab’s, that you can order both on Amazon, or local online stores if you prefer them. If you can’t get your hands on this or any similar product, your last resort can even be a toothpaste. But, be careful, not any toothpaste. You see, you need a toothpaste that has benzoyl peroxide as one of its ingredients. The reason for that is the fact that benzoyl peroxide dries the acne out.
Take Your Antibiotics
It’s all nice and easy if you have a few little acne on your butt that is honestly even hard to notice. But, in case you’re battling with the big ones that simply won’t go away, well, that’s your number one sign that you should go see your doctor and ask him to prescribe you some antibiotics. Once you get advice on which antibiotics you should be taking, make sure you take them even after your acne is gone. More often than not, acne tends to pop out again if you stop taking your therapy early.
Steroids
If your acne gets extremely big and painful, you might want to consider taking steroids. We know that sounds a bit extreme, but steroids are proven to be extremely effective when it comes to reducing acne size, and pain that comes with it.
Use of Natural Therapy
Sun Tanning
When it comes to natural remedies, the first thing you should try out is sun tanning. Even though it sounds too good to be true, being exposed to the sun can help you remove excess sebum, which helps you so much. So, if you have a decent sun coverage in your backyard, or there is a nude beach near you, give it a shot, and just make sure that you use high-quality sunscreen that can decently protect you from ultraviolet radiation. Also, we need to mention that this method is only effective once your acne has passed. If you decide to expose your bottom to the sun during your breakout, your acne situation can get even worse considering that that acne can turn black.
Reduce the Inflammation With Aspirin
If you decide on this method, the first thing you have to do is to take a couple of tablets of aspirin (preferably around five) and crush them. Then, make sure that you grab a tablespoon of water, which is somewhere around room temperature, and mix all of that with some honey or yogurt. If you’ve done everything correctly, you should end up with a mixture that you can apply to your bottom in the form of a thin layer. After you’ve completed the previous steps, let this mixture completely dry out before washing it.
Note: If you’re allergic to Aspirin don’t use this method. Also, if you plan on using this on kids that are anywhere from 4 to 12 years old, please consult your doctor since this can lead to some serious health issues when it comes to kids this age.
“Attack” Acne with Natural Acid
If you’ve googled some methods that are effective when it comes to getting rid of acne, you’ve probably come across of bunch of them that involve lemon juice. Well, that’s probably for a reason. You see, lemon juice contains natural acid that’s simply amazing when it comes to drying out acne. All you need to do is to put some lemon juice on your acne and watch them magically disappear.
Note: If your skin is full of acne with open sore’s keep in mind that this method can be relatively painful.
Wipe Your Acne With Ice
Even though this method won’t help you get rid of acne completely it’s very helpful in a “creative” way. You see, cold that the ice provides will help you reduce the inflammation, which reduces the size of acne a lot, making them as small as possible.

Prevent Future Acne
Wash You Hips As Often As Possible
We know that this tip sounds a bit much, and it kind of is. You don’t need to wash them five times a day, but make sure that you do it at least once. The reason for this is the fact that washing your hips results in washing away all the dirt and grease off your buttocks which eventually leads to an acne-free butt. You can use any mild soap or bath lotion for this.
Exfoliate Your Butt
We can not stress enough just how important it is to get rid of dead skin off your body. That’s why you need to make sure that you exfoliate at least once a week. Exfoliating regularly results in unblocking your pores, which means that you’re lowering the risk of acne
Avoid Using Toilet Papers With Color or Fragrance
The reason for this is pretty straight forward, these kinds of toilet paper chemicals that cause irritation, which eventually leads to acne.
Wear More Comfortable Clothes
This might seem like an odd tip, but wearing clothes that are more loose, and more comfortable lets your skin “breathe”, which means that you sweat less. This eventually leads to less clogged pores and fewer chances that you’ll breakout.
Drink Enough Water
Water is incredibly important for your health overall, but the skin is the organ that show’s the best how much (or how little) you take it. Long story short, water is essential if you want to stay acne-free, so you make sure that you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Change Your Diet
Do you know how we said in our previous tip that water is really good for your overall health? Well, processed sugar and a lot of bad fats are exactly the opposite of that. Sugary drinks, fast food, spike the insulin levels in your body, which leads to acne breakout. If you’re trying to prevent this from happening, stay away from unhealthy food, or at least limit the intake of it as much as you can.
Disclaimer:The use of drugs is best done after consulting a family doctor.
